He holds me in the darkness

He holds me in the darkness
He never lets me go,
I do not see the future prize
Nor have the need to know.

When life gives me a beating,
Why would I lift my hand?
To share in all His sufferings,
I know this is His plan.

He never has forgotten,
I'm always on His mind.
So in the darkness I do rest.
I know that He is kind.

Suffering for a moment
Is nothing in the end,
'cause vindication always comes
To those who trust in Him.

"Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us."
Romans 8:17-18

Carole,

Thank you for these words. They are filled with strength and hope. They encourage me and I will share this with others who need the encouragement. The glory revealed in us...there is no comparison, yet we/I don't live this scripture out in beliefe as I/we should. They reminder is a gift. Susan
